Melted Grilled Cheese on Everything Croissant Toast

A grilled cheese sandwich should never let you down. It should be crispy and toasted on the outside and gooey with melted hot cheese in the middle. It is the king of comfort food to eat next to chips, or a soup on a rainy day.

INGREDIENTS

Everything Croissant Toast

Butter

Cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Toast the toast

preheat skillet over medium heat

generously butter one side of a slice of the croissant toast

place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add 1 slice of cheese

butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich

grill until lightly browned and flip over

continue grilling until cheese is melted

serve while still hot.



PRO TIPS- five simple mistakes to avoid when making this melted cheese croissant toast:

  1. not choosing the right bread

  2. adding too much cheese. Balance is everything.

  3. slicing the cheese too thick. Thinly sliced cheese is a good start, but there’s still a better method: grated cheese.

  4. using a cheese that doesn’t melt well (some good ones are American, Swiss, Monterey Jack, Cheddar or Fontina).

  5. cooking with the heat too high, you don’t want to burn it.
