Flaky, pillow-soft... vegan?

We’ve turned everyone’s favorite Croissant Toast into a mouth-watering loaf-style VEGAN toast.

There’s no butter or milk added, but it’s got the same flaky crust and soft, richly decadent interior and as always, we only use the highest quality, non-GMO ingredients. We use sustainable palm-derived fat in place of butter and we are currently working on a reformulation using coconut-based fat. We launched a non-vegan croissant toast last year but developed the vegan one to serve customer demand. “Our customers have been craving our croissant toast from day one,” La Boulangerie CEO Nicolas Bernadi says. “While we had national distribution at Whole Foods Market, we were witnessing the rise of vegan food and thought that it would be amazing if we could offer those consumers a similar delicious product. That’s how the vegan croissant toast was born.” Today we are able to provide it to our customers through our local bakeries and through national shipping directly form our website.

In the future, we expect to launch a variety of vegan options, including sweet and savory croissants, brioche loaves, buns, cookies and snacks. So be on the lookout! In the meantime check out our vegan recipes published by our chefs for inspirations.
